Delicious lunch at three starred Le Gabriel in Paris. Went with the five course (158 Euros) lunch menu.
Polished and proficient service in a beautiful dining room within a luxury hotel.
Pictured dishes include roasted duck with miso marinated asparagus, citrus jus and a remoulade of asparagus in crispy duck skin, topped with caviar.
Aged rouget with a jus of its liver and confit potatoes topped with samphire and bottarga.
Puffed potato canapé with caviar and clams with citrus.
Tartlet of hay scented cream and passion fruit.
Signature mango dessert of confit mango, spicy mango sorbet, peanut cream (not pictured), mango juice split with coriander oil and a small tart salad of unripe mango.
And a starter of artichoke heart which was nixtamalized for texture before cooking, then glazed with sakura vinegar, and served with an espuma-like sauce of pureed artichoke leaves. Served with great bread to finish the sauce.

This makes me so excited, I’m going for lunch in two weeks. Do you feel like a jump up to the full tasting menu would still be worth it? I can tell the 5 course lunch is already quite generous.
Looks like fantastic value. I believe they still offer a four course lunch at €98, which is a steal for a 3* in Paris.
Went back in 2018 when it was still a 2* and still one of the more memorable meals of my life. Great food, wine, and service.
