Which farm? I have seen different tints to oysters, within ranges. These wouldn’t put me off.

They look like oysters to me. I’ll eat them if you don’t want them

Has this before. I think it happens when they’re seeding. Eat away!

I think I saw these on shift today, if you give me a moment I can double check the farm. Idk what region you’re in but I’m west coast. That might not matter since all of our stuff usually comes from the same farms across the nation

Hey there this is pretty normal for east coast oysters. I see thousands of oysters a week and this reminds me of dukes of topsail from the carolina’s. Or even blue pools from washington. I’m not sure what does it but cold water oysters will sometimes get some blue around the gills

If we have a lot of rain the algae blooms and our (NC) oysters get green gill. Doesn’t affect taste, it’s just the color of the water they’re filtering.

They’re fine. looks like Bay Blues.

Those are the gills. You just ripped the flesh of the oyster OP. Nothing out of order.

I’ve seen this a lot in the last few months in RI oysters. It’s from the algae in the water totally safe to eat.

Don’t eat oysters in months without an R in them
