ACA is one of Japan’s premier Spanish restaurants. Chef Azuma’s Spanish cuisine is both delicate and bold, showcasing remarkable creativity. The open kitchen adds a dynamic, live-cooking experience, and the steady stream of delicious dishes pairs perfectly with wine. The precise cooking of both seafood and meat is outstanding, and the paella changes ingredients with the seasons, ensuring every visit feels fresh and exciting. Reservations are extremely difficult to secure—you’ll either need to go with a regular or have access to a special connection.

    It looks great.

What kind of paella is that.

Where’s the sangria. I also need my tomato toast and manchego to feel complete.

Very high on my list. Any chance your friend who’s a regular is looking for more friends?

    Lucky guy re: the reservation!

Spanish and certain kinds of Italian I’d imagine would work better with Japanese fusion than the very common (and in my opinion, unsuccessful) combination with French, being more seafood-based with lighter sauces and sometimes lighter cooking touches on the proteins, so this place does look intriguing. San Sebastian (where the Aca guy trained) is very popular with Japanese people for a reason.

  4. How did you even score the reservation here? They actually throw literal lottery every month for booking. Super impressive. 😳
