  6. Sous vide is a whole different method, but tbh if you love the steak may not be worth adding extra steps. Sear on my friend and keep spreading the char.

    Looks great, but I would do is instead of whole garlic cloves…mince them and add some butter. Then put on top of the steak. Other than that looks delicious!

    If you were aiming for medium, you undercooked.

    If you were aiming for rare, you slightly overcooked.

    I’d say medium rare is pretty spot on.

    But again this is all a moving needle based on where you wanted to end up. Gotta give us that info to get an honest answer besides: “smash”

    I’m weird and like steak well done. But I know many
    have theirs medium or rare. Your steak looks like it came from a nice restaurant, and you did a great job. I think it looks delicious.
