i celebrated my birthday at joo ok last week and it’s by far one of my favorite korean tasting menus! can see how it got its 1 star – super fresh and seasonal ingredients, and a really interesting take on traditional korean cuisine.
what’s more fascinating is the restaurant’s story. i didn’t know it was actually started in seoul, and the chef was so successful there that he decided he needed to challenge himself more and just moved his whole family and team to new york?! talk about playing life in hard mode… and still winning!
