That’s not aglio, neither olio. Why so yellow?

Looks good! I know a lot of purists complain about cheese being on it but they’re probably miserable.

So based on what’s in it it’s not that dish. Still sounds good but yeah

Sorry – but as an Italian, this is a disgrace… why put cheese? Perhaps some breadcrumb

I fully get your sentiment, but it’s not really true that “Aglio e Olio is a concept”.
    Italian Cuisine is a concept.
    Cucina Povera is a concept.

Aglio e Olio is a dish, and dishes have ingredients.
At this point, I think it safe to say that once you’re adding tomato, anchovy and capers to a dish, you’re not making Aglio e Olio.
You’re making a really cool sounding southern Italian-inspired pasta. It looks great.

A delicious looking pasta that’s not aglio e olio

People gatekeep the fuck out of Italian food. Italians and the Americans that cosplay as Italian chefs are the most annoying people in the culinary world.

OP know this isn’t aglio olio. This is just engagement/rage bait.

Imagine if this was translated and you were saying “oh it’s just garlic and oil”

I’m disgusted. Not because it isn’t aglio e olio (which it isn’t) but because I angry want it

You should call it puttanesca and people won’t complain
