Poaching fruit is simple, fun and looks kinda fancy.
📝 Ingredients
2 cups red/white wine, cider, tea, run wild! (or fruit juice for non-alcoholic)
2–4 firm fruits (pears, plums, apples, or stone fruits work great)
2–3 tbsp sugar, honey, or maple syrup
1 cinnamon stick
2–3 strips of citrus peel (orange, lemon, lime)
2–3 cloves or cloves (optional)
🍷 1. Make the poaching liquid
In a saucepan, combine wine, sugar, citrus peel, spices, and any aromatics. Bring to a gentle simmer.
🍐 2. Poach
Peel and halve (or slice) the fruit. Submerge in the simmering liquid and cook on low for 15–20 minutes, until tender but not mushy.
🍮 3. Make the glaze (optional)
Remove the fruit and aromatics. Gently reduce the poaching liquid until syrupy and glossy.
🧁 4. Plate & serve
Spoon yogurt onto a plate, add the fruit, drizzle with the glaze, and sprinkle over biscuits and toasted nuts.

I love these, this is a classic Christmas dessert where I'm from. This, still hot, and some vanilla ice cream
Instructions unclear. I'm currently being hunted by the US government for the killing and consumption of multiple bald eagles and silverback gorillas.
Wow you're incredibly underrated
In the Netherlands we have a very popular traditional recipe called Stoofperen, it is very similar to this
