What one should I go with and why? This would be my first one by the way!

Why those 2? Are you trying to stay within a certain budget? Just know that pellet grills are very much “you get what you pay for”. If those are your only options I would definitely not get the Traeger.

Trying to stay within $400-$500ish for a budget if other people have other suggestions

I’ve owned 3 pitboss, and while I agree that it is a cheaper made smoker, my first one is still running fine, I sold it to a friend and cooked on it at his house last weekend and it’s 5 years old, i upgraded for a bigger one. The second I sold to buy the third one and it runs fine still just wanted more features. I’ve not owned a Traeger but from what I’ve heard/read the build quality is not much better on the lower end ones and they typically have fewer features. If i ever need or want to upgrade mine I plan to go to a higher end one. Also PB has A 5 year warranty I believe Traeger has a 3.

Just giving my experience. I’ve got a PRO22, been running it for about 5 years. No issues. Love it.

The Pro 22 was great, I have since upgraded to a Searwood but for that price you cant go wrong.

I literally was just going between these two and bought the pit boss Friday and put it together today. Ultimately the corolla argument was the same reason I went with pit boss, controller is better, sear capability and jist newer design/technology
