How hot is this and does it taste good? I used to do hotter things in the past but I've settled on the low end stuff like Cholula, Sriracha type sauces and such. Wondering if I'll be a baby and melt.

  1. I used up the bottle I bought but didn’t buy another one.

I use it for micheladas. It’s also good on eggs. It’s 9/10 heat for normies and 4/10 heat for those of us who enjoy reaper and ghost peppers. I can’t think of a better widely available grocery store hot sauce.

Very good, great price, and nice heat. I love when I first discovered this sauce. Always in my rotation

Great taste and good heat, but holly fuck dont go over board…I paid for it the next day….

I hate to be the negative Nelly here, but shimmy, shimmy, cocoa what? Put that hot sauce down.

More vomit like hot sauce. Ain’t touching this stuff with your mouth!

was on a trip to a place that had trader joe’s and got a bottle. took it home and ate a week or so later and was nicely surprised at the heat. more than i would have expected honestly

i’m not sure if it’s because i hadn’t been eating spicy stuff as much prior to that but, ive been working through several bottles of Yellowbird habanero the past few months and feel the TJ was actually more potent. Not necessarily better tasting if I can recall, but more spicy

  8. Eat it and decide. It’s already in your hand.

    My review is:

Hotter than most hab sauces. Tastes decent but not amazing. Gives me brutal heartburn.

I went back for more because of price and heat. Stopped buying because of the heartburn. Could totally be a me problem.

Don’t avoid. Just decide. If I didn’t get the heartburn, I’d go back for more.

I like it a lot. I always have a bottle in my fridge. It’s reasonably hot and tastes good. It’s more peppery tasting than most hot sauces and doesn’t have another flavor like a lot do. I sometimes use it to heat up something else I’m cooking but it’s also good as a table sauce.

The heat is nice but it sort of smells like feet.

  11. aaactuary

Its hot but has no flavor otherwise. Not a fan.

Not bad – but I only bought it once. Go with Yucateca green for hot sauce (or others – I’m no expert). Go w Yellowbird or Aardvark (my fav) for hot condiment (both have carrot puree – less strong, slightly sweet).

I love the heat and the flavor. Very comfortable for me, and very tasty. I’ll put it on most things.

  14. Slamdingo

Surprisingly consistent in a good way. Tastes good, has a decent amount of heat (I’d warn people who don’t usually eat hot food).

It’s really hot in my opinion, however very delicious

  16. Purisima_Slug

I liked it a lot, but wasn’t different enough from other good and straightforward hab sauces I’ve had. I don’t go to TJ’s enough though.

  17. CoconutMochi

It tasted pretty decent but I wish it was hotter, the packaging made me think it would be super spicy but it was like 4/10

  18. It’s been a while since I had it, but I seem to remember it being pretty good. Nothing that I felt I had to keep stocked up on, but I’d grab it if I ended up at a TJs.

  19. SFallon93

Delicious but Too hot it made me faint when I tried it, still in my fridge but hasn’t had it since

  20. spruceknob7

It’s pretty hot for a habanero sauce. Decent taste, worth trying.

  21. InternationalPut5571

I love it especially for the price.

  22. Spicy_Tomatillo

Very true to habanero taste and nice consistency

  23. Disastrous-Resident5

One of, if not, the best hot sauces you will ever have. A complete knockout.

It’s really good daily sauce. Like in the arsenal kinda guy.
