Accidentally made the white-ist/blandish looking supper ever…

I would be more concerned if there wasn’t any seasoning on the fish.

Doesn’t look that bad, and if it is…pass the hot sauce, still would eat this.

  3. Looks like the answer to what’s the best meal for eating in a dark room.

My grandma was born in the 1920’s, according to her my great grandmother thought a “white plate” was the height of elegance. White fish or chicken breast as the protein, cauliflower, mashed potatoes or white asparagus as the veggie, maybe rice as well. And then of course a white sauce/gravy to pour over. When Grandma got old enough that we were cooking for her every day she’d ask it sometimes. It’s ok, a good vehicle for fresh black pepper.

Looks like you seasoned the fish — enjoy. This is just a colorless plate, not a big deal. If there were no seasonings on the fish, I would be worried about you.

It’s the first time I see a plate that is less white then what’s on it.

This dish is so pale, it has a Vitamin D deficiency.

Food so white you could spice it with flour. 💀

I strangely *dont* hate this. Just needs more vegetable variety, mix that cauliflower with broccoli and carrots and make sure to butter them for more flavor.

It’s not shitty, just a little boring. Which is perfectly fine for a meal every now and then.

High end restaurants would feature that as a “plat blanc”…. Well done!

Monochromatic meals are celebrated in my house 😌

Ok, sure, it’s nearly devoid of color, but it still looks great!! I’d hoover it and go back for seconds on the mashed potatoes!

What’s the color code for tomorrow’s dinner? Beige?

To be fair, the fish does not look poorly seasoned, and the mashed potatoes look both homemade and well buttered. I’d eat it.
