Mine did the same… sealed it up with some of the “Extreme Heat JB Weld” and it’s been doing great for going on 3 years now. And I do A LOT of pizzas at full open flues 👍

Things expand when hot. It’s not a problem until it becomes a problem. What’s the gap like mid-action?

Just redid mine as it was doing the same thing. Got some high temp RTV, cleaned up the egg and damper and reinstalled it all. 24hr cure and I get that suction noise I used to when I seal it up again!

Same happened to mine. RTV silicone. No need to pull the whole thing off, just seal the gap and you’re good to go.
