£40 off Facebook Marketplace including the chimney, makeshift ash catcher, and we’re off to the races. Hopefully with the hours I’ve spent trailing through this subreddit my grillin’ will be top tier 🍔

Why would you put the chimney in your cooking surface? Remove your cooking grates and put the chimney on the bottom grates to start your charcoal. Easy to pour out and you’re not ashing all over the grates your food is about to go on.

Great set up, enjoy the new grill bud! One tip: place chimney on lowest grill plate. It’ll be way easier to dump coals into without having to remove the top level AND the chimney

  3. Great choice for a first grill. 30 years later still my go to, of course I have a wood smoker too

Anyone have any suggestions on keeping the inside cleaner? The vents on the bottom always freeze shut with rust and grill drippings and I’m going to have to cut the nut and bolt off with a Dremel tool or something. It’s my second charcoal grill, and I like it but unfortunately don’t have as much time as I used to, to use it.
