Is the Minecraft Lava Chicken ACTUALLY Worth the Hype?!

✨Recipe:
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Base:
• 5 boneless skinless chicken breasts
• 1 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper

For Assembly:
• 1 cup cornstarch (for coating)
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 cup Frank’s RedHot sauce
• 1 quart high-heat oil, for frying

For the Lava Sauce:
• 2 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ cup hot oil (from frying)

Directions:
1. Slice the chicken breasts into chunks and pass them through a meat grinder. Mix in the cayenne, chili powder, both paprikas, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
2. Spray a loaf pan with oil and press the chicken mixture firmly into the pan. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
3. Once baked, carefully drain any liquid, then mold the chicken into a blocky bird shape (use foil or food-safe shaping tools). Let it chill briefly to hold its form.
4. Dust the molded chicken lightly with cornstarch. In a bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, Frank’s RedHot, and a dash more cayenne, chili powder, and smoked paprika. Gently pour the mixture over the chicken, making sure to coat all surfaces and seal any cracks.
5. In a deep fryer or large pot, heat oil to 350°F. Carefully fry the chicken sculpture, rotating as needed to evenly crisp and brown all sides. Use long tongs and work in sections to avoid splashes.
6. In a heat-safe bowl, combine brown sugar, cayenne, chili powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Ladle in ½ cup of the hot frying oil and stir until combined into a glossy, fiery glaze.
7. Brush or pour the hot lava sauce all over the fried chicken. Serve immediately and prepare for a flavor explosion worthy of the Nether.

You guys keep asking me to make the lava chicken from the Minecraft movie, but my biggest question, how the heck do you make the chicken into a cube? So, I decided to make ground chicken to hold its shape. Basically, baking it into a meat cake. And when it came out, there was a lot of liquid in it. But I had my husband engineer a full-on chicken model. Wow, this bird did not skip leg day. Once that was done, we needed a nice spicy lava sauce. Give it a good fry. Lather that spicy lava on top. All juicy and tasty as hell. So worth it.
