I thought this was bad sushi in the thumbnail

  4. I don’t think I’ve seen something edible look more like a river rock that this. Congratulations, you won food.

Not really an issue. Purple pancakes eat the same.

Put aside some of the batter in a separate bowl. Add a handful of blueberries to it. Pour your pancakes on the griddle. Drop them on top of the pancakes on the griddle before first flip. The batter from the separate bowl will keep the berries from cooking directly to the griddle and will seal your cakes up without turning all the batter blue.

Okay so I use frozen berries in my pancakes because the frequency at which I eat berries *and* pancakes is about a cockroach’s lifespan between, and what I find works the best is to add your berries *after* your batter is on the griddle.

I do this all the time, and it never turns out like this. Did you thaw the blueberries first? I typically stir then into the dry bowl (frozen) near the end, and I haven’t seen them become one with the batter like this yet.

Before adding the blueberries put them in a bowl of straight flour and stir them around so they’re coated. Then add the berries to the batter and stir minimally. It really helps prevent this

I thought these were burnt oysters Rockefeller at first glance! 😂

I drop them on the pancakes after I pour the batter, works okay and looks a lot better.
