20th May 2025 – (Hong Kong) Acclaimed French chef Daniel Boulud is set to make his Asian debut with the opening of Terrace Boulud in Hong Kong. Scheduled to launch in January 2026, the new restaurant is a collaboration with Mandarin Oriental and LANDMARK, adding to Boulud’s celebrated portfolio, which includes the MICHELIN-starred Daniel in New York.

Situated on the 25th floor of LANDMARK PRINCE’S in Central Hong Kong, Terrace Boulud will offer a contemporary take on the French bistro experience in a rooftop setting. The restaurant, accessible via a skywalk from the Mandarin Oriental, will feature panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the city skyline, blending Boulud’s refined culinary techniques with the vibrant energy of Hong Kong.

The project represents a milestone for both Boulud and Mandarin Oriental. For the luxury hotel group, this marks the first time it is extending its culinary offerings beyond its flagship property. The restaurant will anchor Mandarin Oriental within the revamped LANDMARK, part of the US$1 billion “Tomorrow’s CENTRAL” initiative led by Hongkong Land.

Designed by Malherbe Paris, the interiors will evoke the elegance of France’s golden era of brasseries, combined with the romance of luxury train travel. Warm wood tones, bespoke finishes, layered lighting, and curved architectural elements will create a sophisticated yet dynamic ambience.

The menu, crafted by Boulud, will highlight four culinary inspirations:

La Tradition: Classic French dishes.La Saison: Seasonal, market-driven creations.Le Potager: Vegetable-forward innovations.Le Voyage: Global influences inspired by Boulud’s travels.

Guests can expect an array of French and Asian-inspired dishes, an evolving seasonal menu, and a focus on simplicity that lets high-quality ingredients shine. Dining will include lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner in the main restaurant, while the rooftop terrace will feature cocktails and a curated wine selection, making it one of Hong Kong’s most desirable dining destinations.

“Terrace Boulud represents a deeply personal vision,” said Boulud. “Blending French culinary tradition with the rich gastronomic spirit of Hong Kong is a dream I am thrilled to share with guests.”

Construction for the restaurant is set to commence in May 2025, with its debut anticipated as a landmark addition to Hong Kong’s dining scene.
