I love fruit (watermelon, strawberries, grapes, pears, kiwi etc), but I’m not sure if it’s worth eating. I get hungry quickly (not a fan of yogurt combo) and it has a lot of sugar in it.

Not a lot, but berries and watermelon are super low cal so you can fit it nicely in 1200.

I eat fruit as a snack between meals. Helps keep me from getting too hungry and is a whole lot healthier than any alternative (besides veggies but I eat so many veggies for dinner). Melon and grapefruit are my go-tos, cheap and delicious!

I love fruit but it generally doesn’t curb my hunger or satisfy me so it’s something I usually add to or pair with another more satiating food (ex, this morning for breakfast I had cottage cheese topped with cherries). I will pop a few berries if I just want a taste of something sweet, though!

Okay, I had this exact mindset until very recently. It’s not about the sugar content, it’s healthy sugars, natural sugars, it’s also a negligible amount unless you’re consuming like 1kg of fruit a day.
I try to have two portions a day which is a mixture of strawberries, bananas, tangerines, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, blackcurrant, cherries.
It absolutely is worth eating, even if you’re very hungry, it’s worth a little snack to try and tie you over until you’re next meal. It’s not about the sugar, it’s the vitamins and minerals you get from the fruit, the energy you get from them, supporting your immune system and gut biome.

I’m not really a fruit person so I haven’t been eating any. But I eat veggies at every meal. (I’m currently in Japan. Fruit is expensive here, so maybe I’ll eat some after I leave.)

I try to add in fruit to my meals for the fiber and micronutrients. Berries, clementines, apples and bananas are what I typically cycle through. Berries are my preference because they are the lowest calorie but they’re really expensive so I buy them on sale.
muqings
i mostly eat berries, i love having strawberries, raspberries or blueberries with my yogurt/oatmeal
sy2ygy
Quite a lot but I pair it with meals – I’d either add them to oatmeal and/or eat them as desert post lunch and dinner

You should eat healthily to ensure you have enough nutrients. Fruit falls in that category.

Aprox 400-500 grams of melon/berries a day

If only I had the money for berries. The best I can afford is bananas which I absolutely despise! Yuck!

I eat ~3 servings of fruit a day.
tits_mcgee_92
I will pour blueberries into my mouth then blast whip cream into my mouth after that. Low calorie dessert and I don’t even have to wash a bowl after 😀

Not much. If im going to eat sugar, I might as well grab for the junk food
PuzzleheadedDot8223
~ 1kg of Frozen fruits per day and i’m lean/shredded

I eat about two cups of fruit or strawberries either as a mid-afternoon snack or in my meal of oatmeal at night, usually the latter. Makes it more filling for only about 300 calories total (I use the frozen fruit, so it melts and then I don’t need to add any fake milk to the bowl).

I will have an apple in the afternoon if I’m starving before dinner. Helps me not raid the cookie jar! Plus frozen grapes with sugar free jelly (jello 🇺🇸) packet on is a great dessert!

I avoid bananas because in my head I feel they have too many calories. I stick with berries primarily.

I’ve been doing strawberries and raspberries as a dessert, sometimes paired with a berry-flavored yogurt if I have enough calories left, and sometimes on their own. I only recently started eating raspberries, as I didn’t like them in the past. I decided to give them another try when I discovered that they have one of the highest amounts of fiber per calorie of any food out there. I struggle to get enough fiber, and I’m trying the “high satiety” version of calorie counting now, where I try to get extra protein and fiber, as those two things apparently keep you satisfied and full rather than being super hungry from the deficit. It’s working pretty well, as I only have had a few days where I felt really hungry no matter what during the last couple months. It just makes for a lot of math and second-guessing what I’m going to eat all the time to make sure it has low enough calories and high enough protein or fiber to meet my targets. But yeah… Raspberries are easy to squeeze into any spare calories you have at the end of the day, and they are fiber gold.

Probably about this amount per day. I like an after dinner snack
Tall_Conference5546
It varies greatly day by day. Sometimes I make a sizable low cal smoothie so I can get a bunch of fruits/veg/fiber in at once for cheap. I like to rotate and combine these fruits and veg: blueberries, raspberries, mango, strawberries, diced avocado, riced cauli, broccoli, spinach, kale, and cooked beets. You can use protein powder and/or yogurt depending on your preferences, and you’ve got a good amount of fiber and micronutrients in one meal 🙂 You can also make it meal or snack amount of calories depending which things you combine.
Otherwise, I like pairing chopped stewed apple with oats, or if it fits my cals for the day, I do fruit + pb + protein shake to make the protein shake more satiating for longer. And tajin + watermelon is a great “it’s so close to dinner but I still need something right now” snack.
For myself, I find it’s the intentional pairings that make it worth it satisfaction/hunger levels wise, and I always think the nutrient density of most fruits is worth it, but totally understand if it’s a YMMV ^-^

Usually two or three apples and one or two oranges. I have them with some sort of protein though, especially if it’s as a meal. Even if it’s just a little protein, like a regular yogurt or a bit of peanut butter or a little protein shake in a coffee.

I eat 170g (half of a 340g bag) of frozen raspberries or blackberries every day to help me toward my goal of 25g minimum of fiber. I sprinkle them with Splenda and let them mostly defrost. The raspberries get mashed because they don’t freeze great anyhow. I enjoy them as a sort of compote. Blackberries freeze and defrost beautifully so I eat them whole.
I also eat a banana almost daily, and frequently an envy apple (my favorite kind). If I see good-looking in-season fruit, I’ll buy that and enjoy it while it lasts. I do try to stay in the range of 80-150 cals per serving.

my parents used to call me a fruit bat because of how i would always go straight to fruit over desserts and candy. Just recently I bought a watermelon and a bunch of kiwi, and I’m going out to get some mango and strawberries later this week, so like, there’s always fruit in my house.
it’s a low calorie healthy snack in my mind

About 1.5 cups of berries and an orange

Couple servings a day. Most weeks I buy 3-4 apples, a small bag of grapes, and a small container of strawberries. I get a little help, but I eat a majority of that each week.
Kyanite21
I eat a TON of fruit. Currently on hand: bananas, apples, strawberries, blackberries, grapes, blueberries, and oranges.

I don’t eat much fruit at all. I want to eat more but don’t have much of a sweet tooth so gravitate more towards veg. I’m sure I’m missing out on some nutrients.
kickassicalia
My thing is that good fruit is EXPENSIVE!!! or id eat it more
Mysterious-Fig-2280
combine them with some protein and fat for your snack to keep you full longer. i like to have a small piece of cheese with the fruit for snacks and you’ll stay full much longer
