I have been personally victimized by this chicken katsu
Soggy thick breading, old fry oil taste, and too expensive š I should have known when the restaurant also dedicated half of it's space to phone repairs.

My sad story:Ā There was an amazing Thai restaurant near my work place.Ā They shut down but I heard that the original was still open. I decided to pick up some togo (my kids favorite Thai) $12 in tolls and almost 2 hrs of driving later I get home to find 2/4 items were not what I ordered. And nothing tasted as good as the one near my office (I’ve had take out from them many times)Ā
This was 2 yrs ago and I’m still mad.

I walk into the restaurant to see 2 people sitting at the counter on their phones. I assume they are customers and look around for staff. After standing there for a few minutes, a person from the counter asks if Iām for here or to go without looking up from her phone.
I said for here and she gets up (still hasnāt taken her eyes off her phone) and leads me to a table and throws down a menu. Menu says 20% gratuity is automatically charged for any dine-in orders. Okā¦ well Iām already here so I might as well just commit.
Sheās floating around behind the counter still on her phone when I finally flag her down to order a Chicken Katsu Curry and water. She brings the smallest cup of water Iāve ever seen.
Food comes out. Itās a curry sauce (no vegetables) and rice. The chicken katsu? No, itās chicken karaage. I asked her if this was the chicken katsu and she confirms (still hasnāt looked up from her phone).
I proceed to force the abomination down and as I try to pay for my bill at the counter, the lady skips over me to 2 pick-up customers that came in after I lined up at the counter.
Yep. Never been back and legend has it she still hasnāt looked up from her phone.
