La Grange in Yardley, one of latest additions to Bucks County’s ever-evolving dining scene, is a sprawling French brasserie serving Gallic style with local appeal, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Owned by father and son Vincent and Marc Masso of Newtown’s La Stalla, along with Michael Geonnotti of Titan Food Service Solutions, the establishment was envisioned as a suburban counterpart to Rittenhouse Square favorite Parc.

The kitchen is led by executive chef Peter Woolsey, who closed his well-regarded Bistrot La Minette in Queen Village last year after feeling drained by the pressures of restaurant ownership.

“A French brasserie is analogous to an American diner in the sense that they’re everywhere and you have a general idea of what’s on the menu before you ever go to one,” said Woolsey.

Currently, best sellers at the eatery in the new Prickett Preserve development include onion soup, escargots, coq au vin, and salmon en croute.

The beverage program, led by Danielle “Weezy” Messina, has an extensive mostly French wine list, a selection of beers including several on tap in collaboration with Warwick Farm Brewing, and a cocktail menu that includes both classics and original creations.
