100% nebbiolo from the Castelletto Cru in the area of Monforte d’alba. The vines are approximately 52 yo, planted back in 1973, contributing to the depth, structure, and complexity of this Barolo.
It appears bright garnet red with light orange hues developing at the rim. The nose is complex and restrained at first, then opens with wonderful aromas of red currant, violet, dried rose, hints of rhubarb and forest floor. Full-bodied and structured to the palate, with tightly woven tannins and vibrant acidity. Savory and mineral-driven mid-palate, with notes of leather, underbrush, and iron. The finish is long, firm, and persistent.

Nice! I had an ‘05 Acclivi a few years back and it was a top 10 wine for me.

Very much looking forward to trying this coming summer
These aren’t meant to be drank young right?
Nice. 2021 is shaping up to be a great vintage, best since 2016 easily, IMO.
