It’s burger season, so for this episode we have three types of cheeseburgers: the Classic Cheeseburger, the Mushroom Swiss, and the Cowboy Burger. We’ll make burger buns, juicy burger patties, burger sauce, and each burger.

Classic Cheeseburger Deluxe
Ingredients:
– Dense, chewy burger bun (homemade or store-bought)
– ⅓ lb 80/20 beef patty
– Cheddar cheese slice
– Shredded lettuce
– Tomato slice
– Thinly sliced red onion
– Burger sauce (equal parts ketchup, mayo, Dijon, dash Worcestershire)
Steps:
1. Toast bun halves lightly.
2. Dollop sauce on bottom bun.
3. Add shredded lettuce to catch juices.
4. Place cooked patty with melted cheddar.
5. Layer tomato slice and red onion.
6. Top with another dollop of sauce and the top bun.

Mushroom Swiss Burger
Ingredients:
– Burger bun
– ⅓ lb 80/20 beef patty
– Swiss cheese slice
– Sliced baby bella mushrooms
– Caramelized yellow onions
– Burger sauce
Steps:
1. Sauté sliced mushrooms until tender.
2. Caramelize yellow onion low and slow with a splash of water.
3. Toast bun and spread sauce on bottom.
4. Place patty with melted Swiss.
5. Pile on caramelized onions and mushrooms.
6. Finish with another swipe of sauce and top bun.

Cowboy Burger
Ingredients:
– Burger bun
– ⅓ lb 80/20 beef patty
– Mozzarella cheese slice
– Fried pickle slices (bread & butter pickles)
– Fried onion rings
– Dredge mix: 1/3 cup flour, 2 Tbsp garlic powder, 1 Tbsp onion powder, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp oregano, egg, splash heavy cream, pinch salt & pepper
– Burger sauce (or BBQ if you have it)
Steps:
1. Whisk dredge ingredients into a thick batter.
2. Coat onion rings and pickle slices, then deep-fry until golden.
3. Toast bun and spread sauce (or BBQ) on bottom.
4. Add patty with melted mozzarella.
5. Stack fried pickles and onion rings.
6. Top with more sauce and the bun crown.
