I just let the salmon marinade in a mix of Dijon mustard, maple syrup, sherry vinegar, and some fish rub seasoning for a few hours, add the lemon and thyme, and its off the grill within 20 minutes at 400F. Makes a good, quick midweek meal for 2 along side some salad and (microwave) baked potato. I want to start trying some more seafood on the grill, really liked how it came out.

Nice, do you notice a difference with the cedar. I haven’t noticed it but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The cedar needs to smoke. It tastes great and is relatively strong. You will not miss the fact that is cedar smoked.

Nice, I serve a balsamic reduction sauce with planked salmon called I Dream Of Drizzle.

Cedar planks and salmon are such a perfect match. I usually do this on a gas grill though. With the KJ, I prefer mixing wood chunks with the charcoal to get the Smokey flavor and not have to spend $15 on cedar planks.
