I haven’t looked into the “connected joe”. Is it garbage or should I pull the trigger?

It’s not garbage but it’s not great, not worth its retail imo. For less than a MSRP KJ1 though…

Even if you resell you could make money on that. I hope you did it just fine to keep too

Konnected Joe is awesome, even if you don’t care about having a temp control fan the auto fire starter is really where it shines

It’s a Konected Joe. No matter the price, I wouldn’t be buying it.

Do it. I got a floor model at Home Depot around $1k and have seen plenty of posts in this sub going for $900ish. I did end up re-adjusting the lid for a better seal but that was only a minor inconveniece.

I really like the assurance the electronics offer, I don’t have to worry about getting it dialed in. If I’m cooking low temp 200-300, I light it, let it get going, close it up, set temp and I know it will nail the temp every time with no further monitoring from me.

Even better, if I’m cooking at higher temps, I just add charcoal, put my heat shield if desired, grate, set the temp and auto start and it will go to and hold temp without me doing anything further. I call it “oven mode”.

If I want to reverse sear, I get my meat to temp and then crank it to 600, open the top and the fan will blow and get it raging hot in a couple minutes.

Too expensive ruining dead animal flesh for food!

Nope, I got my classic Joe 2 at HD for around $500.

    Go for it, it’s legit!

None of the HDs in my region stock anything except Classic IIs and, as far as I can tell, none of those stores’ managers are liquidating them over the holiday weekend. However, I will be able to visit two HDs and two Lowe’s tomorrow while running errands so I will check out each store. Depending on your market area and the demographics of the store’s region, the thing about Home Depot is these clearance deals are indiependent manager decisions: ephemeral, spontaneous, and hard to find. Right place. Right time. You could travel around your market area and visit five HDs and not see the same offer in any of them.

Wow, the 2 HD near me never run that kind of deal.

I thought 1000 for BGE was a hefty investment. Tho im sure this has plenty of features to make it worth it lol

1/2 off is a great price. You will come to find unless you go with a big joe the cooking surface is a bit small
