I love Pahlmeyer Jayson Chard. I have a place where I can get it for about $46/bottle sending regularly. I've been eyeing these for a bit. I wanted to get a few for my collection.

Tonight, I decided to just get one. I'd go back for the other three later.

I get up to the self-checkout and scan one. $2.89. This is the place where I get them for $46.

I immediately tell the lady, "Hey, so…this isn't right." It's not a wine store and it's not the kind of place where people typically go for wine, so it's a safe assumption she doesn't know much about this particular wine.

She shrugs, "If that's what it rings up…" I tell her, "If you're going to sell me this bottle for $3, I'm going to buy everything you have."

"Go ahead", she says.

If they had 100 of them,I would have bought them all. How crazy is this!?

I had this happen once with a bottle of Chateaux LaGrange. Rang up for like $20 instead of $60. Went back and grabbed 5 more. Of course they rang up at the correct price, but it was too late then, lol.

Sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor! 😉

Where is the 2008 Krug CdM guy from yesterday??

  4. Not wine related, but one time I took $10 out of a bank machine and it gave me $20. I did it 4 more times and got four more twenties. Then my broke ass ran out of money.

  5. This happened to our wine in a grocery store. I had ppl calling the winery asking why the hell they could get our $150 cab for 18.50. I said well, sounds like they have the decimal in the wrong place. Should be $185.00. Many ppl call the winery to complain about finding the wine a bit cheaper. My answer is always, go for it! They either mixed something up on their end or it’s not a real listing, if online.
