I never Buy bagel and that’s why .
This is the easiest bagel recipe ever even though you don’t have much experience with sourdough this recipe not gonna bother you much .
recipe :
300G bread flour
150G water
60G starter
6g salt
15g honey
Sesame seeds for topping

  1. Can't wait to try some homemade ones! Great episode and I think college students would save a lot of money on breakfast making these at home! I always get egg and cheese everything bagel and some coffee and was easily 9-12 lol.

  2. Thanks for the recipe! Did you try half milk and half water? Looks like your favourite method produces more even bagels. Will try that one even though it will take more time vs technique #3. I use #3 but they keep closing in the middle so I have to expand the middle before giving the bath. Instead of parchment paper I use silicon donuts’ forms which I bought in count of 6 and cut into single ones. Rub a bit of oil inside before proofing and bathing them but don’t bake in them as I like crusty bottom.

  3. Made these this morning with my standard starter (Estelle) and they came out beautifully. I substituted one teaspoon of turbinado sugar for the honey. They smell and taste like very mild vanilla yogurt. Thanks so much!

Fiz a sua receita ontem à noite e assei os bagels hoje bem cedinho, fiz o dobro dos ingredientes, segui alguns dos passos que você ensina no vídeo, (já faço pães de fermentação natural desde 2024) os bagels ficaram muito deliciosos, muito obrigada pelos ensinamentos do vídeo. Tem uma questão que ainda não sei fazer perfeitamente, espalhar a uva passa de forma que tenha isso em todo o interior, recheio da bagels, tem alguma dica sobre fazer isso, por favor? Sempre o recheio fica acumulado em uma única parte do pão ou bagels. 💕🇺🇸

  5. I made these and they came out perfectly! I did plain. everything seasoning and cinnamon sugar. This is definitely counterproductive to my summer body goals haha

  6. OK, I tried them today but I didn’t do the boil thing and I use chocolate sourdough starter and put in 20 mg of cocoa powder. I’ll let you know tomorrow how days thanks for sharing.
