Some time ago I asked for your opinions on the designs for my outdoor kitchen build.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I have finished the build. It’s Large and XL. I have planned to have Medium and XL, but got Large for quite nice price. Large is bit higher than I would like, but still comfortable height.

Structure is from construction lumber, paneling and tabletops are thermo pine finished with UV protective oil. I decided to have slide out drawers everywhere. Which turned out to be the hardest part, mainly due to the structure being made of rough cut lumber.
Storage of the components for each grill is under the other on, so I can access it easily and also to have a better support for the XL.

Whole build took just over two months.

  2. Looks amazing. How long did it take? How much? Did you do it all yourself?

Really nice work. Looks great and functional. You should be proud.

Looks awesome! Only thing I’d add is a stone under the eggs.

This looks great. Especially the custom storage for eggcessories.

Why did you choose that placement for the faucet on the sink?

Really sweet, congrats. Is the space covered at all?

The built in storage is my favourite thing about this, since I am always struggling with where to keep all of mine. Great job, and I am sure you will get years of use and enjoyment out of this. Give yourself a gold star and sear up a nice juicy steak!

This looks really nice but I’m curious about the strength of the supports on the eggs. I’m not an expert, but I am a danger ranger, so I tend towards overengineering. I only have a large egg and it seems so damn heavy. All of that weight from both eggs, continuously, seems like a lot, but I’m curious if you did any calculations or have experience with this kind of thing. To me it looks like the weight is being born only by those middle supports, and then by the fasteners on the side, but possibly also by a ledger on the back?

I’m not questioning the stability, I’m mostly just curious to learn for when I get around to this kind of project.

Looks great! Like how you handled storage for grates, stones, plate setter etc. Only thing I see missing is a space for a Blackstone griddle so you can do everything!
