Pretty much standard carvery yeah. The roast potatoes look like boiled potatoes though hahaha

  2. StudNatty

I’m hoping to get to the uk I have heard good things about the roast there !!

  3. VinceClarke

If you hadn’t have mentioned Thailand, I’d never had known it wasn’t a UK Sunday roast.

Yes pretty much Toby carvery (there are other chains but can’t remember using them) – looks good

I have heard of a toby Carvery my mate says it’s good for the price kinda of like this it was only £11 from my conversion that’s reasonable I think 🤔

Great effort. I wouldn’t have expected one like that over there. Roasters look a bit iffy, but I wouldn’t complain getting that away from home.

  7. NortonBurns

That really does look pretty close. Wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t said.

For a Thai carvery that is top class.

Most Thai Sunday roasts are piss poor, and I don’t blame them, it’s not their food.

Pretty much spot on, I wouldn’t be surprised if UK expats own or have a hand in this establishment, as mentioned by other redditors I would have thought this was in the UK …

  10. Thailand doing it better than the Americans it appears

  11. Serious_Shopping_262

It is but the roast potatoes don’t look roasted and the gravy looks a bit too watery

  12. BananaHomunculus

Only issue here is the potato, should have colour. Otherwise. Pretty good

  13. Karenzo81

Yep that’s pretty spot on! Except the beef looks way better than any I’ve ever bought from a carvery

  14. limpingdba

The meat looks good, the veg doesn’t look great – those roasties don’t look crispy and the carrots a bit burnt.. 7/10, would try

  15. redpandadancing

Looks exactly like a good one in the UK. Very nice, OP, hope you get here to try ours!

  16. soggycatfish

Potatoes need to be crispier but pretty great overall

  17. Truelydisappointed

That looks like a proper uk Sunday roast! Good job chef!

  18. Fun-Concert7086

First time in 60 years today – honestly- had them with the rest of Sunday meal on the 1 plate. I was lazy. Never will I do it again. Cannot say how bad my conscience and late rellies are screaming at me

  19. Aside from the beef looking crazy rare, this is a suprisingly decent looking plate given the location.

  20. Acceptable_Candle580

Doesn’t look far off a uk toby carvery. Though uk toby carvery isnt a good roast.

  21. Chrisf1bcn

That’s looks better than most of the roast places I’ve been in the Uk your lucky!

  22. Chicken, lamb and beef all on the same roast is pretty extravagant and certainly not traditional. Also those roasties don’t look that well cooked. But if i’m being honest, it looks way better than most UK pub carveries i’ve ever been to. That beef looks great.

  23. I mean…. I could pick holes. But I’d just being a cunt. If it was good, then it was good.

And in Thailand, it’s fucking incredible.

  24. Tits_McgeeD

I know a fair few UK chefs who have moved to Thailand for their thai wives. Its highly likely youre having one of them cook up the grub

  25. Other_Exercise

Bonus points for the meat being on pedestals. Literally and figuratively.

  26. dayzplayer93

Its cheaper than England and they have roasts? Sign me up

  27. Spirited_Candy_6246

The way this is better than some posh London roast someone posted the other day 😂

  28. AnneKnightley

Looks smashing! A roast done well really is delicious.

  29. connorkenway198

I wouldn’t have those peas, and those meatballs are.. a choice. Otherwise? Without tasting it, it’s spot on
