As you can see, they almost went to seed, but I pulled them up just in time. I don't know what I'm doing and honestly, that's part if the charm. Now to sprinkle pepper to deter the deer and rabbits 😭

Well done. Don’t ignore the greens. They’re edible and, done right, tasty.

  4. Congratulations on your first harvest! All of us remember our first as a triumph. Enjoy yours.

Next, what to so with radishes? You will likely run out of ideas fast but I found a long lasting and highly coveted, multi purpose use foe them…pickled.

    Make a simple brine:

    1 cup water
1 cup vinegar (white, apple cider, champagne)
    2.5 tableapoons of sugar
    1 tablespoon salt

Slice radishes thin (mandolin works well)
Fill a mason jar with sliced radishes
Add sprinkling of mustard seed and coriander
    A few garlic cloves

    Fill with brine and refridgerate.

This goes on tacos, sandwiches, omelettes and many many more. We eat them faster than we can grow them now.
