Recently picked up this Pro 34. On the initial cook, noticed the temperature showing on my Temp Spike was almost 100 degrees off from what was being displayed. Decided to order a cheap Amazon thermometer as a tie breaker to see where I’m actually landing in the event my Temp Spike was broken and it’s giving a different temp as well so I’m no closer.
Appreciate any advice to nail down where this thing is landing.

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

I’ve had the the temp spike for awhile now, I never really pay attention to the ambient temperature on there. Just sticking with the traegers temp probe and keeping it clean has worked perfectly for me on mine. Best of luck!
Have a read of this. Science behind BBQ. You’ll understand temps and methods much better after. Some not bad recipes and methods too.
