Ok. I was at a local store and the Lil Weber kettle (not sure of the proper name) was like $60.

Popped open marketplace and found this one for ten bucks. Cleaned it up and am every happy with it. Older model with a wooden handle. It's going camping for the rest of its life….

I had one of those. Damned if I know what happened to it. 🤔

  2. Love these for solo cooking but it falls off if you are cooking for more.

I love using mine while camping too. It makes camping seem fancy to have smoked burgers in nature!

I’ve had one sitting on my picnic table for years

My first grill. Learned a lot on that thing. Served me well.

We use that model for tailgates and it works great for small crowds. Great $10 snag!

Love my smokey joe! It cooks everything great- steak, chicken, just smoked some salmon… I even smoked a pork butt for like 9 hours on mine once – that was a tight fit haha.

When doing indirect I usually only put the coals on one side so that there is more room for food. That seems to work fine, but I wonder if it’s “better” to have coals on both sides? Maybe just have more even heat?

Just snagged one off of a curve. Maybe used a hand full of times
