ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Another restaurant in Atlanta’s West Midtown announced they’ve decided to close their doors this week.
Bastone made the announcement through their Instagram page Wednesday that they made “the very difficult decision to close.”
“First off, I’d like to thank everyone that’s ever worked there – from our dishwashers to our managers,” owner and chef Pat Pascarella said in his statement. “You all truly, truly helped bring this vision to life, and it was an honor working alongside you all.”
The owner also thanked customers who visited the restaurant and said he appreciated the opportunity to serve them.
He didn’t say why the restaurant is closing, but he took responsibility for the business’s shortcomings.
“Everyone will sit here and blame the economy, the area’s other closures, the neighborhood, cost of goods, COVID, etc. etc. (Trust me, I’ve heard them all.),” Pascarella said. “However, no one’s to blame but us. The truth is that everyone likes to point fingers instead of using their thumbs.”
Pascarella said the restaurant “could have done many things differently,” but embraces the fact that this can be something to learn from.
