So i started watching canned fish files on YouTube randomly (never grew up eating fish, always tasted yucky) and this man influenced me to buy a can of DEENZ. I been drinking wine so i said f it, I'm gonna try these badbois. I got sabor de Mar sardines in spiced oil…and honestly they weren't bad at all, scared the shit out of me at first since theyre kinda THICC. I tried them by themselves , on crackers- i even ate a spine by itself to see how crunchy it was and straight up i couldn't even tell it was a bone.

So here i am, drunk, eating sardines out of a can at 2 in the morning.

    That… Is word for word how I got into tinned fish, drunkenly browsing YouTube and a random tinned fish files episode appeared in my recommended, not a clue why I clicked it but i did, ended up binge watching loads of episodes and now I have a shelf full of various types of tinned fish from all over the world.

    Not sure why I ever thought they were disgusting having never actually tried them… It’s opened my mind about a lot of things and taught me to never just go “eww… No thanks” to anything.

    Mine has been a slow acclimation upon stumbling here. One night I was craving a snack, and suddenly kippers and crackers at 4am sounded like a good one. Now I’ve been wanting to try a tin of smoked oysters ..

    Yeah, I fimd the salmon bones and many similar pleasant. Sort of crispy but without really impeding the rest of the texture much.
