pretend that you’re Japanese, then it’s fine

Nah I ate Chilean sea bass over risotto for breakfast today lol

I will never understand how certain foods just kinda became appropriate for certain times of day. It all seems pretty arbitrary and driven by random marketing.

    Swordfish for breakfast sounds perfect!

    Far from it.

Your plate is beautiful. And fish is a super healthy breakfast protein. My last one was whiting, but I would far prefer what you did. Nicely done

OP go for it! Let me share a saying that I enjoy “ it’s not weird if it’s what you are into”

I love fish for breakfast. The traditional breakfast fish here in Newfoundland is pan fried rainbow trout, little ones under 10 inches

I eat a beef steak with a fried egg and rice every morning.

In Thailand my father-in-law made freshly fried mackerel or catfish every morning with side of sticky rice. Just enjoy brah 🤘

I would be extremely pleased to have that for breakfast. Looks great.

I had a bowl of leftover spaghetti this morning. You’re good.

Not at all. It’s a perfectly fine breakfast option in my household. Mainly because my missus is Japanese so fish + rice is fine for breakfast

Looks delicious for any time of day! Just keep an eye on the mercury levels if having regularly, swordfish particularly high

Hell no. That looks like a breakfast for a champion and me.

Only if it was frozen and you hadn’t wrestled the swordfish and sliced a steak fresh out of his belly and then grilled it whilst shooting tequila.

Otherwise yes it’s a little odd

I wouldn’t eat that. As they are predatory, they will have high levels of mercury. Same goes for sharks or any other large predatory fish.

I prefer savory/salty foods for breakfast

The real question is what is your recipe?

  18. Where’s the soft poached egg and the toasted crumpet with brown butter?!

The closest thing to fish near me is fish sticks. If I lived somewhere with fresh fish, I’d probably do the same.
