On my wine list. Moves fairly well.
Since release in 2021 I have been drinking my way through several bottles each of two of their 2018 Fleuries (Champagne and Clos du Pavillon).
Unfortunately I have not been impressed each time. They seem affected by the warm vintage lacking vibrancy and freshness. Almost flabby, one-dimensional and honestly quite boring.
I am pleased to see that their Morgon turned out great.
I wonder how much that label affects their sales. A lot of casual drinkers that drink Beaujolais probably lean away from more regal and hyper traditional labels but man this logo is just not it. Can’t see why someone would pick this one to try over other Morgons unless a somm specifically highlights this one.
