They tasted all right for something different but I would not rate them anywhere near being very spicy. Especially if your 10/10 is supposed to be a rank of how spicy they are. On a spice level they are like a 3/10 or so.

Sadly variable on the spice level. They have no quality control on their flavor spray anymore. I have had some that were surprisingly potent and others that were pretty bland. At their best, they’re easily my favorite chip.

The Verde is the best one, the rojo tastes like spicy ketchup

So, I have nothing scientific to back me up here, but I suspect they changed the recipe at some point during making these, I got multiple cans of these when they first came out, and they were great, nicely hot with a very Verde like acidity. I loved them, and they were my favorite chips. At some point in the last six months there has seemed to be less seasoning added (maybe a cost control measure?) and they are noticeably less spicy and the flavor is more acidic, more like citrus or citric acid, less like a green chile. Just my own observation here, it could be where batches are made, or how long they’re stored for, I don’t know. But something seems different
