The deal ends today so I will probably be making this purchase decision based on the first few of you. Is this a good deal? Should I buy it? What say you?

Looks good to me. Hasn’t been under $2.79 a pound at my local (Northern CA) Costco for some time.

  2. Cleverironicusername

That’s a good deal. Get me some. I’ll Venmo you.

Around me not really. Price normally runs 1.99-2.49/lb. On sale ~$1.49/lb. Before covid you could get them for .79-.99/lb

  4. BayBandit1

I’ve bought it at $1.29 a pound on sale. $1.79 is pretty typical in my area of Central Florida.

  5. Food Lion will run them for 99¢/lb one week a month. Thcan be as much as $2.99, so I’d grab one or two. 😁

  6. Ain’t no way I can find this price where I am. On a budget, no brainer and you can feed many people for a long time.

I would get 2-3 and freeze. That is a really good deal.

Good but not great deal. Very common in NY for that price or less.

You’re probably not going to find it for $.99/lb. I would purchase it.

  11. Pretty good deal. I’d buy it. I wouldn’t buy more than two though because they’re $0.99 every few months near me.

Double wrap your steaks… You’re going to have a lot of them

  13. Here in SoCal, it’s about $2.50 to $2.99 per lb. So good deal.

  14. ASSMANWILLIE

They go on sale as low as 99cents a lb in Dallas but that’s a little below average. Good looking butts🍻

That’s about the right price I buy them as often as I can… Put one on the slow smoker overnight feeds quite a lot of people

1.99 in WI. Not a bad deal. I try to wait till 1.49 to buy though.

  17. ReallyNotBobby

I’d definitely snatch one for sausage making, especially since it’s pork butt

Smoke them into pulled pork. Put them in freezer ziplocks and flatten it out before freezing. Olive oil in a pan instant carnitas with some taco seasoning.

Good deal, my store sells them for like oscillating sales.

Once a month they’ll be 1.79-1.99 and the next month they go on sale it’ll be for 0.99 a pound.

People don’t generally buy alot of them on the 1.99 sale, but they FLY at .99.

So good deal but not the best, they’re probably taking a bit of a loss or breaking even. 0.99$ is the best they get and that’s when the store is selling them as a big loss leader to attract customers

Watch the market weekly ads. Better prices but that’s not bad.

That looks like a great purchase! It’s going to look even better after you smoke it low and slow!
