LEVITTOWN, NY — After six decades in business, Domenico’s Restaurant is shutting down.

The popular Italian restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown will end operations on June 29. It marks the time of an era, as Domenico’s was part of multiple generations of memories for 58 years.

“We will forever be grateful for this community,” the eatery posted on Facebook.

The Domenico’s family said they are “hopeful that this is not the last chapter,” but as of now “nothing is concrete.”

They encourage customers to visit for a farewell in the final weeks.

“We would love to see as many of you as we can,” Domenico’s wrote.
