Double decanted 8 hours before service.

Intense nose with deep red berries, rose petals and a bit of green bell pepper. Good structure with dry tannins that have mellowed beautifully without losing the grip.

An absolute stunning bottle in a very classic Chinon style.

I served this for a couple of non-geek friends who were blown away by how tasty and good it was.

I told them that this exactly is why we keep and mature wine in our cellars or fridges.

Such a lovely cuvée from one of the greats in Chinon (if not in Loire entirely) and a great spot right now. No hurry to drink up.

The Baudry wines always hit the spot. Fun to do a blind tasting with their different wines and guess the soil type. As they’re always remarkably precise this is quite easy and fun.
