VINELAND — Home Depot may soon offer customers, and staff, the chance to grab a hot bite to eat at its South Delsea Drive store here.
Last week, Vineland city officials cleared Rocco’s Italian Sausages & Cheese Steaks to install a food kiosk sometime this year. Home Depot and Rocco’s started this concept 25 years ago.
Rocco’s has a dozen locations across New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, where it operates from small buildings. Vineland is to be the first location uses a kiosk instead.

Members of Vineland’s zoning board have approved Rocco’s Italian Sausages & Cheese Steaks to put a takeout food trailer at the local Home Depot. Daniel Winter Jr. (right), president of Rocco’s, testified at Wednesday’s board hearing. May 21, 2025.
Home Depot and Rocco’s have an agreement initially targeting another 156 sites in those three states over the next 11 years.
Daniel Winter Jr., director of operations for Rocco’s Restaurant Group Corp., said Tuesday that the home improvement store chain wanted to stick with one food company with a standard presentation. He added that he’s excited about the expansion possibilities.
“Over that many years, we plan on hundreds of stores,” Winter said.
“This is just the first round of approved locations. But we’re looking to move farther and farther down the East Coast.”
Members of Vineland’s zoning board reviewed the proposal last week, approving it without objection.
The kiosks are approximately 255 square feet and, in some places, might be flanked by picnic tables. They are to be sited between the customer entrance and the contractor entrance.

At the board hearing May 21, Winter testified that the operation is “takeout only.” The customer base is mainly people already planning to go to Home Depot, he said.
“They would just grab their food and head off to the job site, back to the office or back home, depending on why they show up to the Home Depot,” he said.
Rocco’s two New Jersey locations are in Lawnside Borough in Camden County and Ewing Township in Mercer County. Another is to open this year in Washington Township, Gloucester County.
