For context i’m only 5’0. I’m at normal weight already but i want to lose a bit more. Some people get mad at me for trying to lose weight. As long as i eat enough i should be fine no? But its true that ive been feeling pretty tired. Would you say i’m eating enough just looking at this?

I wasn’t going out today i barely moved. I also drank milk coffee but didn’t took pic.

(The chocolate bar was a protein one and the 3rd pic is protein creme dessert with dark chocolate and 2 almonds and frozen fruits).

I can’t tell what’s next to the broccoli in the first pic.

Plate 2 – maybe 200 cals? I assume the protein bar had a label and that looks like maybe 50 cals of Brie. Watermelon is negligible.

3 – another 200 maybe? It’s hard to say how much cream dessert is under the fruit. Berries are super low cal. Only having 2 almonds is a little concerning 🫤

    4- maybe 400 cals.

This is a pretty small amount of food for a whole day. I suggest plugging your stats into a bmi calculator and seeing what a safe minimum amount of calories for you is, and getting a food scale and keeping track yourself. This sub is more about guessing for meals you didn’t cook and shouldn’t be a replacement for daily estimates. It’s very important to make sure you’re eating enough, especially if you’re a short person who only has a few pounds to lose.

  2. I would eat another platter of food around the equal amount of the last slide! Or maybe even a little bit more.

  3. Looks about right for a 5ft woman. It’s two snacks more than I eat in a day at the same height.

Looks like a crustless quiche in the first plate?

I see from your post history that you have an eating disorder. Are you currently in treatment? I would suggest discussing this with your doctor / care team. But from the looks of it, you are almost certainly not eating enough.

This is at most half of what you would need to maintain the smallest weight considered healthy at your height. I think people are not mad at you, I think your family and friends are rightfully worried for you.

  6. Please eat more. This is nowhere near enough, the type of diet people are put on in extreme cases monitored by a doctor. This is often how ED starts this amount of food and trying to be “healthy”. Eating healthy doesn’t mean eating less! Your perfectly fine to eat full healthy meals

This is definitely not enough. I think this would be more of a portion size for a toddler and not a woman.

  8. i don’t think it appropriate for you to use this sub to seek validation for your eating disorder. there are other subreddits that are for eating disorders, i think you should seek support there.

Your old post says you’re trying to restrict enough to pass away. I’m concerned. Please try to get help.

How many calories was all that? That’s all that matters.

From my calculations you should be eating about 1600 on a sedentary day. If the other commenter’s calculation is correct then this is only half of what you require.

(I googled the healthy weight range for your height, chose a weight right in the middle and then calculated how many calories should be consumed on a sedentary day)

If you already have a healthy bmi then why do you want to lose weight?

Food restriction can be dangerous psychologically, but if you are overweight, like most of us here, then it is worth it. For us, the danger of food restriction < the danger of remaining overweight.

It’s like you’re taking medicine you don’t need, it’s gonna make you sick.

You wouldn’t unnecessarily take blood thinning medication everyday, so why would you unnecessarily do the treatment for overweighted people?

As long as your getting in a good amount of protein and healthy fats your all good don’t listen to other peoples opinions what ever works for you may not work for others

Honestly yea you need to eat more than that. I used to eat the same way, and I developed gastritis. Another plate would be good to start with.
