Hi! So I stored my essenza mini pure white for a while, finally have it up and running again. I descaled it at least 3 weeks ago and have been just rinsing it out a few times after using a pod.
This morning I rinsed it, but noticed these things that don’t look like grounds to me or is it? Sorry my mug design has black specks in it. I circled what I’m referring to with some zoomed in photos.
Has anyone seen this come out of their machine when you rinsed/flushed it?
Thanks!

Might be mold, might just be coffee grounds.
It’s really hard to tell. Doesn’t seem like mold to me. Maybe, since you left it stored for a while, the coffee crud that almost inevitably accumulates dried hard and then flaked off when you used it again. There’s not a lot of places coffee mung can hang on, since it’s not coffee until it exits the capsule. And that’s where I’d expect to find it drying and then peeling off as the capsule is moved into place and pierced.
Next time it will be left idle for a significant time, eject the capsule and leave it open and remove the reservoir. Put a cup in placer and push both buttons. That will drain the machine for storage.
