New mom who is breastfeeding her baby with a dairy and soy allergy. I’m restricted from eating it myself, as it passes along to her and makes her sick. Missed out on my favourite DQ ice cream cake.

I’ve never baked or decorated a cake but I was happy with the end result but mostly just the taste.

I feel your pain! My second had sensitivity to dairy, soy and wheat, so my diet was pretty restricted while I was breastfeeding. Gluten-free/nut free cake mixes can often be made dairy-free too so that’s an option for cakes for the little one when she’s up to that stage. Good news is that my kids is 4 and has completely grown out of his sensitivities, most do.
