Here’s our Special Taste recipe of the month: Rice Paper Dumplings made with shrimp — a delicious way to welcome the flavors of fall.
*Ingredients
Cleaned shrimp (peeled and deveined), Square rice paper, Garlic chives (or regular chives), Zucchini, Chili peppers,
Mini bell peppers, Black pepper, Seasoned salt, Sesame oil, Tapioca starch, Olive oil, Allulose, Gomabdang low-sugar soy sauce, Vinegar, Water
*Recipe
1. Chop the Shrimp
(Use the side of your knife to mash half of the shrimp into a paste. Roughly chop the other half to keep a chunky texture.)
2. Prep the Vegetables
(Finely chop chives (or green onions), julienne zucchini, slice mini bell peppers, and finely chop chili peppers.)
3. Mix the Filling
(Add a pinch of seasoned salt, black pepper, 1 tbsp of low-sugar soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and 1 tbsp tapioca starch. Mix well.)
4. Prepare the Rice Paper
(Soak each sheet of rice paper in lukewarm water for about 10 seconds until soft.)
5. Assemble the Dumplings
(Place one softened rice paper on the plate.)
6. Repeat
(Continue with the remaining rice paper and filling.)
7. Prepare the Steamer
(Lightly brush the steamer surface with olive oil to prevent sticking.)
8. Steam the Dumplings
(Place dumplings in the steamer, leaving space between each.)
9. Make the Dipping Sauce
(Mix 2 tbsp low-sugar soy sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, ½ tbsp allulose, 1 tbsp water, and chopped chili pepper.)
10. Serve
(Arrange the dumplings on a plate and drizzle with the dipping sauce. Enjoy!)
