A business owner in Greece who was waiting for someone to turn up to his wine shop was in shock after something unexpected happened. One of the best parts about travelling is finding unique places and trying out the local cuisine. And 20-year-old American woman, Josie, who is a student at the University of Michigan, recently took a trip around Europe, and included Greece as one of her must-visit places.

She has been sharing updates and reviews of her trip on her TikTok page @josiestoffan, where she boasts over 24,000 followers. Josie stopped by a small wine shop in Athens, and her experience has left people gushing.

Josie, visited the Cru Tasting Room Wine Bar and Store, and shared: “This local man was so happy we were the first people to take his wine tasting class at his small wine shop in Greece.”

She showed clips inside the wine shop where she and her friend were the only customers, but the owner joined them for the wine tasting and put a lot of heart into the experience. They tasted a range of different wines, plus enjoyed bread, dips and small bites.

Josie added: “If you got to Athens please reserve this class on Airbnb experience.” But little did Josie know that sharing a video of the Greek man’s wine shop would gain so much attention and “change his life”.

Commenting on the video, a nearby resident said: “I live right next to this shop and he’s really such a sweet man to all of his costumers! Definitely recommend.” A travel advisor shared: “Omg my heart. I am a travel advisor and book a ton of Greece I’ll make sure to share this with my clients.”

“Send me the details would love to add this to our honeymoon itinerary for Athens!,” another wrote. “Now this is the type of experience I want,” said someone else.

One other wrote: “Greek people are the best. Always the sweetest with the warmest hospitality. Cannot wait to visit his shop!”

Someone else added: “Oh my heart, I love a locally owned spot, the owners always make dining such a memorable experience too.” “Just small people with big dreams. Even if you have one attendee, it’s a success,” noted one other.
