The owner of a new Italian gourmet market and wood-fired pizza restaurant learned the craft from his family, who moved to Port St. Lucie from Naples, Italy, in 1987. The restaurant serves pastas, pizzas, Italian soups, calzones, strombolis and stuffed rolls. Read the full story.

Fast-food restaurant with fish, chicken

The new fast-food restaurant serves chicken wings and fried tenders, nuggets and gizzards. Seafood offerings include fried shrimp, conch, tilapia, catfish (fillet or nuggets) and snapper (whole or fillet). Ice cream, coffee bar with gelato

The owner of a new ice cream and coffee bar moved to Port St. Lucie from Toronto, Canada, about a year ago. There are 27 ice cream flavors plus gelato, crepes, a cookiewich and a donut ice cream sandwich. Drinks include milkshakes, specialty coffees, iced and hot cocoa and chai latte. Read the full story.

Brothers from Mexico open restaurant

Two brothers who are natives of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and moved to Port St. Lucie over 25 years ago opened a new Mexican restaurant. Their brother owns a chain of six Mexican restaurants: three in Port St. Lucie and one each in Fort Pierce, Jensen Beach and Okeechobee. Read the full story.
