FEsta italiana in Fitchburg
Saturday marks the beginning of Festa Italiana in Fitchburg.
FITCHBURG, Wis (WKOW) — Saturday marks the beginning of Festa Italiana in Fitchburg.
The 2-day event has a wide variety of Italian desserts, food, cultural exhibits and entertainment.
The event is hosted by the Italiana Workman’s Club.
Admission is $15, children 12 and under are free.
Jim Di Ulio is the co-chair of the festival and says they’ve been holding the event for several years.
He says it’s a great way to learn and celebrate Italian culture.
“We have a presentation on the Italian history in the green bush area of Madison. Earlier today, we had a pasta eating contest, and you had to eat a bowl of spaghetti without using your hands. That’s always fun,” Di Ulio said.
