How should I prune these jalepenos?

  1. It will drop its flowers on its own when it’s not ready

If by pruning you mean picking off the flowers, go ahead. But it’s definitely nowhere near ready to produce fruit. I haven’t even started producing fruit yet and my plants are starting to put on some decent foliage

Everyone on this sub says to pick flowers, but I never do. Peppers can grow foliage and fruit at the same time — just make sure you’re giving it what it needs (water, nutrients, and sunshine) and let it ride.

Check out Peppers Guru’s Instagram or YouTube — he’s demonstrated that you can still get monster plants without picking flowers

Don’t worry about that, just give it plenty of nitrogen and it will continue to grow. Even in the middle of full fruiting, my plants still grow new foliage. It’s not ideal, but I’m guessing you transplanted later than you probably should have, which stunted it slightly and caused it to panic and try to produce fruit early
