Tomato on top or bottom? Bacon top or bottom ? Where does the lettuce go?
Everyone must have a different way of doing it but what about this sub? How do you like your BLT made?

Tomato in mayo is always the move for me

standing by. always open to trying new things if it sounds convincing.

Lettuce and bacon are barriers so the tomato doesn’t sog up the bread too quickly.
Edit: also lettuce on mayo side since it’s a better barrier.

That’s the worst possible place I can imagine putting the tomato.
If you’re only going to mayo one bread, make that the tomato side, so the mayo can act as a barrier to the liquid. Also put the tomato on the top side, so it doesn’t drip down into the bread as easily. Or at least use the lettuce as a barrier between the tomato and the bread.
Basically do anything other than this.

Not trying to start a fight or anything, but mustard would be good on that bottom bread, if you’re not doing anything else with it (such as sliced avocados)
imagine putting the tomato down on that toasted bread without any mayo lmao couldn’t be me 🤣

This is a very conveniently-timed post for me, frightening so, since I literally asked google this question for the first time ever earlier today, as I was prepping some BLTs for a party. Wild coincidence!!
I made a BLAT, which was constructed as so: bread, mayo, bacon, tomato, lettuce, avocado, mayo, bread. I wanted the fattiness to sit towards the ends of the sandwich (bacon, mayo, avocado), with the crisp lettuce and acidic tomatoes balancing out the middle. It was delicious!

I can’t eat bacon or tomatoes so I’m gonna go with a solid mayo-lettuce-mayo

Always avoid tomato directly on bread, even if you eat it immediately the bread will get soggy.

Edit: actually lettuce below the bacon might be the perfect answer. You get that fresh vegetable from both sides of the bacon.

Bread must be buttered anything other than buttered bread is criminal

B should be touching T, otherwise you have to salt your T. Also it’s missing fresh cracked black pepper.

Butter AND Mayo, on both pieces of bread. Also salt and pepper on the tomato. It doesn’t really matter after that, but I usually put tomato between bacon and lettuce. The one thing you wouldn’t do is put back on the middle. So bacon, tomato, lettuce, or lettuce, tomato bacon, but not lettuce, bacon tomato. It’s better if the bacon touches bread on one side.

Ok you animals:
Bread (pan-toasted inside only) Mayo (light) Tomato Fresh cracked black pepper Bacon (two layers alternating directions) Lettuce Mayo (Heavy) Bread (pan-toasted inside only)
Light mayo on the tomato side so the bread still has enough texture to hold the tomato in place but doesn’t get the bread soggy.
Bacon touching tomato because you always salt your tomato and bacon has plenty of salt.
Two layers of bacon give grip to the lettuce and tomato so they don’t go squirting out of your sandwich like in some Donald Duck cartoon.
Lots of food lube on the other piece of bread because that’s just how I like it.

Why would you smoosh wet tomato up against toast? It needs a breaker

Bread – Mayo – bacon – mayo – lettuce – mayo – tomato – mayo – bread

there are rules that must be respected. The tomato can’t go next to the bread. The mayo has to go in between the lettuce and bread. So it’s bread, mayo, bacon, tomato, salt, lettuce, mayo, bread.

I always do
1. bread
2. light spread of mayo
3. lettuce
4. tomato
5. cooled (but not cold) bacon
6. another light spread of mayo
7. bottom bread
and always make sure to pepper (and maybe Italian seasoning if I’m feeling adventurous) the mayo layers.
