Celebrity TV chef Lesley Waters is set to host a masterclass and dining event in Somerset later this year.

The event will take place at Rumwell Farm Shop, on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, on Friday, June 27.

The summer collaboration will be held in the farm shop’s Rumwell Orchard event space.

Sophie Mitchell, partner at Rumwell Farm Shop, said: “We are delighted to be hosting this wonderful event with the super talented chef Lesley Waters, who is well known for her cookery books and television appearances on ITV’s This Morning and the BBC’s Ready Steady Cook, as well as many other shows.

“Our special event, which promises to be a fabulous combination of great fun and delicious food, is on Friday, June 27 from 6pm.

“Guests will receive a complimentary drink on arrival and the cooking demonstration, which covers three courses, will start at 6.45pm.”

Lesley studied French cuisine for three years at Ealing College, which included time as a chef at the Waldorf Hotel.

During this training period, she won one gold and two silver medals at Hotelympia and was awarded a scholarship to the Hotel Intercontinental in Dusseldorf.

She then joined Prue Leith’s restaurant and was quickly promoted to senior chef.

She went on to work as a freelance corporate chef and caterer for government officials.

Originally from London, Lesley now lives in Dorset where she has a cookery school.

Sophie continued: “Our masterclass with Lesley Waters is a VIP event with a special limited number of tickets available, so get your friends and family organised and book soon.

“Once Lesley has demonstrated how to cook all three courses, from starter to dessert, we will serve the dishes, made in our kitchen, for you to eat.”

The Rumwell Orchard venue will be laid out with tables for groups of two to eight people.

Sophie added: “We will have a demonstration kitchen set-up and screens to relay Lesley in action, so no one will miss a thing.

“As well as the three-course dinner, our licensed bar will be open on the night too.

“Tickets are £80 per person with tables of two to eight available and bookable online.”

Advanced booking is essential and can be done so via the Rumwell Farm Shop website.

The farm shop also asks anyone with special dietary requirements to contact them before booking.
