Had a couple grow greenery when I left it on the fridge for too long. So I planted them, and now here you go!

I’ve had free green onions for years. Don’t understand why everyone isn’t. It’s so freaking easy!

We’ve had candy onions in the ground for the last month almost, and I go past them twice a day minimum, but I’ve yet to stop and take a picture…..
Maybe this post will push me over that edge.
We have a shitpot of onions though, north of 10K of them planted. 😅

I grow the green guys in some random cups. Thanks for the post, reminded me to water them

I did not grow bulbing onions this year because my beloved HEB has giant ones for pennies and my garden space is limited, but I AM growing a ton of leeks!
I also grew some elephant garlic (which is closer to leeks than standard garlic, botanically speaking) and it did pretty well! It is curing right now.
Finally during spring I went to the store and bought a dozen or so collections of regular green onions with decent roots and I just stuck those everywhere. I don’t even eat many of them but they are excellent companion plants, cost like $0.10 each for an established plant, require zero upkeep or maintenance, and add some nice color.
