First pepper plants. Any advice/tips? (1st is Santa fa, 2 is shishito)
How often should they be watered? Internet said to have a constant humidity of 30%?
I leave my lights on for 8-10 hours a day Is one substrate better than the other?
Plants are roughly 30-40 days old Transfered to bigger pots May 20th

You can up the light to 12+ hours a day.

I wouldnt worry too much about the humidity, watering looks good i do mine daily, leaves look nice and green, healthy, also i have mine under LED lights for 16hours daily np. Those pots are big enough, you can fill them more. Always wait til they are root bound in a container before you transfer. I honestly dont think you will need to if thats a 2 gallon even. I have ones twice that size and still in solo cups. Your doing everything just fine, keep up the good work

Shishito is fantastic. They grow fast with good care. Perlite/potting soil blend has worked well for me, along with FoxFarms Grow Big fertilizer at 1/2 strength. Mine went from a tiny little thing with 4 leaves to dense foliage and nearly 2.5′ tall. One big thing to look out for indoors is spider mites and fungus gnats. Neem oil and spinosad keeps the mites in check, and beneficial nematodes can be used for the gnats. I kept mine under a 40w grow light 12-14 hours/day but moved it outside just a few days ago.

I see you have two plants in one pot right next to each other. It’s sucks, but you need to remove one by cutting the stem at the bottom do not pull it, or it will damage the roots of the other. Otherwise they will fight for nutrients and you’ll wind up with less yield than a single healthy plant.
